Likes & Yikes 2012

Christmas in Soapland 2012

Since there are only four daytime soap operas on the air, I can condense my Christmas in Soapland to one post this year. Here are my quick summaries of what happened to the denizens of Genoa City, Los Angeles, Port Charles and Salem. Due to what happened in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012 the episodes were pushed back a day, so most soap towns celebrated Christmas Day on Boxing Day instead.

On Monday, December 17, 2012, The CW aired Gossip Girl's last episode. The show which filmed primarily in New York City, was primarily about a group students at a Constance Billard School and we followed their lives from that school to adulthood from 2007 - 2012. This spoils the end of the series.

Thanksgiving in Soapland 2012

This is going to be short this year as some soap operas had no Thanksgiving celebrations. The Bold & The Beautiful and Days of Our Lives ignored the holiday.
