ATWT: Bob and Kim's Wedding DVD Set & a Freebie

On August, 15, 2012, it was announced that soapclassics.com was releasing another As the World Turns set. This one focuses on about Kim (Kathryn Hays) and Bob (Don Hastings) wedding in 1985. The ten episodes in this set are consecutive and begin with Tuesday, April 2nd 1985. The free episode was from Tuesday, April 16, 1985.

Lucinda (Elizabeth Hubbard) goes off on Lily (Lucy Deakins) for wearing her necklace and going through her jewelry. Craig (Scott Bryce) comes in and asks what is going on, he leaves after Lucinda threatens to call someone to put him out, which upsets him. Back at the party, Sierra (Finn Carter) and Craig are together. Sierra has the same emerald necklace that Lucinda has. Lily leaves and then comes back, she and Lucinda speak some more, but nothing is really settled.

Doris Smith from the City Times is the gossip columnist. She is extremely interested about the moment where John (Larry Bryggman) dances with the happy bride and groom. Later Bob and Kim sing "And I Love you so" to each other.

David (Henderson Forstythe) and Ellen (Patricia Bruder) talk about how they want to leave and be alone. She is playing hard to get for now. Tom (Gregg Marx) and Margo (Hillary Bailey Smith) talk about how she left the police force. They joke that she would be a horrible librarian, but they are relatively happy. A guy named Haskell threatens Lisa (Eileen Fulton) with a gun. Ledgers were missing that have to do with the gambling. Mac (Dan Frazer) goes looking for her as he can tell something is wrong. He enlists Margo's help even if she is no longer a cop.

Marcy (Marisa Tomei) sees the photographer who attacks her and flashes back to that experience. Kirk (Christian LeBlanc) later asks her to dance and she says no. Later Kirk goes to the casino, but while there is told that something was going to happen. Marcy is there looking at the prince Stuart (Ross Kettle). He's dancing with Frannie (Julianne Moore). There is jealousy, as Frannie is seen as perfect. Stuart hires the photographer to take his picture. Steve (Frank Runyeon) is in the hospital, and Betsy (Lindsay Frost) goes to bring him a romantic meal. Later Maggie (Mary Linda Rapeleye) as if Steve is involved in the sting operation.

Barbara (Colleen Zenk) is with Brian (Mark Pinter) in this episode. Penny (Rosemary Prinz) and Andy (Scott DeFreitas) dance, Don (Conrad Fowkes) dances with Kim and Bob is with Nancy. Towards the end of the episode a photo is taken with the Hughes family. This picture is a bit of a disaster as no one is looking in the right direction, which is like a real family picture.

This was a pretty interesting episode, though since I didn't see the ten episodes that precede it, I bet I lost some of the nuance. Looking forward to getting the set in the mail in the coming days, and hopefully in a few weeks there will be an entry or two on its contents.
