GH: Duke is Alive & Faison is in Prison

Duke (Ian Buchanan) and Anna (Finola Hughes) were reunited for real in a clinic in Lucerne, Switzerland on General Hospital. This entry summarizes the latest developments in this story since my post on the subject in mid-November.

Faison (Anders Hove) impersonated Duke, while keeping him hostage for many years. He learned stories to be able to fool Anna that he was really Mr. Lavery and got a special mask built to be able to visually fool everyone. In the same clinic that Faison was holding Duke, he also kept Anna and Robert's (Tristan Rogers) daughter Robin, who was presumed dead.

In Port Charles, we saw fake Duke and Anna bond, while Robert was skeptical even sharing his suspicions with a skeptical Anna. He broke into "Duke's room" and was arrested. Meanwhile Anna went with Duke to ski, and was surprised to see both Duke and Faison in the same room. Before she could do anything about it, Faison drugged her and took Duke away. Once alone again with the impostor, she thought he was legitimate as she had seen both men.

After getting proof that Faison was alive, AJ (Sean Kanan) saw him in a clinic, Robert raced to tell Anna the truth. Thankfully Robert arrived before Anna and Faison had sex. Thankfully Robert threw fondue at Faison, which caused his mask to be destroyed. Faison was captured and is awaiting trial for his known crimes.

When looking to find out what else Faison was hiding, Anna and Robert came upon Duke. Robert continued to investigate while Anna and Duke spoke to one another about everything that happened. Robert heard screaming and found Robin being attacked by Faison's crony. Robin tried to convince her to keep her safe, to no avail. While trying to save Robin, Robert was stuck with the syringe. When Anna and Duke made it to the hospital room, Robert was already unconscious and there was no sign of Robin. Due to Anna and Duke's conversation, it seemed like they put together the pieces that Robin too could be alive.

This story ended for now with Robert in a coma, unable to speak and Robin alone with another bad guy Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roche) who supposedly died in a boat explosion.

While this story ended in an interesting way, I hope it gets picked up before the next  Nurses' Ball is held as I hope Robin gets to play in that story. Also I like the possibility of Robert getting back to Port Charles and dating Olivia who helped him discover that Faison was pretending to be Duke Lavery.
