This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.

B&B: How it All Began Disc 2
Here are my thoughts and a summary of the second disc of "The Bold and the Beautiful" set entitled "How it all began." The second disc are episodes five through eight of the series that aired in March 1987.
While their are summaries of the early episodes online, they didn't match what was on these discs. That's why I am including a short write up of each show. Warning the dates on the online free 25 episodes are incorrect.
Episode Five: March 27, 1987
Caroline (Joanna Johnson) is trying to get Bill (Jim Storm) to approve of her marriage to Ridge (Ronn Moss). Eric (John McCook) calls Bill and invites himself and Stephanie (Susan Flannery) over to Bill's home. Ridge is on the phone to Lee about getting an exclusive magazine cover. Stephanie tells Ridge that they are going to go see Bill. At Bill's, the parents talk about wedding plans, and while the Forresters were shocked the wedding was happening so quickly they like Caroline. It is decided that the ceremony will take place at the Forrester Mansion. Caroline goes to see Ridge at work, and they kiss on his desk. Bill hires Mr. Weston (Jerry Ayres), a private investigator, to spy on Ridge.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Donna (Carrie Mitchum) are talking about how Dave called, but ignored the call. Brooke excuses herself and leaves the family home to see Dave (Stephen Shortridge). Katie (Nancy Sloan) has a fantasy about her dream guy again and Storm (Ethan Wayne) interrupts her. At the police station, Brooke tells Dave that she wants to help him lay the trap for the people who tried to attack her. Storm tries to convince Donna to get a guy to ask Katie out on a date.
Episode Six: March 30, 1987
Eric and Stephanie are talking about Caroline and Bill, while in Eric's office. Stephanie admits to finding Bill attractive, they also mention where Kristen and Felicia are. They reminisce over their wedding, and we see an old picture.
Margo (Lauren Koslow) and Bill are talking about Ridge again. He wants more proof as to why Margo is so against Ridge. We see a flashback of when Margo and Ridge were involved romantically. Eric asks Ridge why he wants to marry Caroline, and becomes intense about it. Before Ridge can explain why, Caroline comes in and Eric shares a sketch with her for a wedding gown. She is happily surprised and calls him Dad Forrester.
Brooke and Dave talk more about her being used as bait. He proposes to her at the police station. Once Brooke is gone, Storm tells Dave to not involve Brooke in the sting operation.
Episode Seven: March 31, 1987
It is morning and Stephanie calls her daughter Kristen (Teri Ann Linn), who lives in New York City, to invite her to Ridge's wedding. Kristen is stunned that Ridge is getting married. Thorne (Clayton Norcross) and Stephanie talk about what is going on too. Caroline goes to see Ridge at Forrester and sees Caroline. He's attracted to her, but doesn't let on with her.
Brooke shares her engagement news with her mom Beth (Judith Baldwin), Storm, and Katie. Though Katie is still lamenting how she will never ever even have a date. Storm tries to convince Donna to set up Katie again, she says she will try, but no guarantees. Donna goes to the library and meets Rocco (Bryan Genessee) inviting him on a date with her sister Katie. He is a bit rude and they flirt. Katie is shocked when she receives a call from Rocco and says yes to his invitation to go out on a date.
Episode Eight: April 1, 1987
Eric is at the office and calls Margo in, they speak about Caroline's wedding dress. Eric also shares his opinion of Caroline how she is well-bred, pure and loving. Stephanie walks in on them and believes that something romantic was going on between Eric and Margo. Eric and Stephanie talk about Felicia and Kristen and how neither girl will be at the wedding. The Forresters talk about how Kristen and Stephanie have problems, as she was always disciplining their daughter. Margo and Caroline speak, but Margo doesn't give Caroline any reason to suspect Ridge. Caroline then goes to Eric asking for Kristen's phone number to speak to her about the wedding. Kristen agrees to come to the ceremony and be in the wedding party, which thrills Eric.
Katie looks overjoyed over having a date and she shares the happy news with Storm. Rocco shows up and is confused when Storm is at the door. When Rocco meets Katie, he is a bit disappointed by her looks. They go to a diner and Katie orders what Rocco was having. This is Katie's first date as she only started getting permission to go out with a guy. Rocco brings Katie to her front door, and when alone she wonders if he didn't notice her acne.
