AMC: Susan Lucci on The Colbert Report

This week, "The Colbert Report" had a special guest, All My Children's Susan Lucci (Erica Kane), which was a huge surprise. Here are my thoughts on the appearance.

The segment began with Colbert discussing the love pentagon that is the real life situation with the now resigned General Petraeus, instead of it being General Hospital it was General's Hospital. Colbert mentioned that the news is now his daytime relaxation entertainment as it is so soapy.

Susan came out and then they sparred. She even hit him via telekinesis. That said I saw her channeling Erica when she was on stage and not being herself. The whole thing was really silly, but I appreciated one more serious comment. One of the other people involved is in charge of the war in Afghanistan, and instead of discussing that on the news, we see this love situation.
