This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.

GH: The Cliffhanger Resolved For Now
It is sweeps month, and General Hospital is doing what it can by having some regular cliffhangers. If you haven't watched Monday, November 12, 2012's show please don't read below as it spoils that episode.
At the end of Friday, November 9th's episode, Robin (Kimberly McCullough) was speaking to a man who took off a mask and today his identity was revealed as Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). He has been impersonating Duke (Ian Buchanan) and letting everyone believe he was Anna's (Finola Hughes) late husband. If someone was watching GH back in the early 90s or has seen clips of the program from that era on YouTube.com they would be aware of his obsession.
Robin figuring out that Duke was an impostor may keep her from her family. Yes she was able to call her home in Port Charles, telling her daughter Emma (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) that she was alive and to get her daddy Patrick (Jason Thompson), but Patrick came on the phone after Robin was no longer on the line. While Patrick thinks what happened was strange, he can't make the leap that it was Robin on the phone.
The episode closed with another cliffhanger as Faison walked into another room at the hospital in Switzerland. Faison started yelling at Duke for lying about his history with Robin. If GH wants people to tune in every day having the story being told a bit each day is a good plan. Hopefully this will continue for the foreseeable future.
