CBS is having their annual preemption for NCAA basketball on Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15, 2012. The Young & The Restless and The Bold & The Beautiful won't be on for those two days.
This break has been going on for over 20 years, so it is something I've become used to obviously. At least a nationwide blackout like this means no one misses anything. It will be interesting to see if this bumps up the ratings for Days of Our Lives and/or General Hospital as they will be on all week, or if people will be watching college basketball instead and it goes down.
If someone loves watching these games more power to them, and good luck to them with their brackets. If not, it means extra time to enjoy life.
This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.
