Last week on General Hospital, Todd Manning (Roger Howarth) proposed to Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva). Typing General Hospital instead of One Life to Live somewhat disturbs me and reminds me how much I miss that show, but I digress.
Blair was in Port Charles as their daughter Starr (Kristen Alderson) was performing on the Haunted Star. The divorcees were together for their daughter. Blair seemed receptive to Todd even though at first he was concerned about her even being in town. He wished she had stayed in Llanview or at least if in NY that she would be away from him.
Todd was heartened when he heard that Tomas (Ted King) wasn't there. He became optimistic and felt he had another chance to romance Blair. They could get it right as Blair was free. Unfortunately for Todd, Blair kept her engagement to Tomas a secret. The reason she came alone was she wanted to break it to him herself.
Blair kissed Todd and led him on, which was cruel. She should have never toyed with him, but for Blair it was a subconscious thing. Todd is her soulmate, and just being near him brings back all of the emotions. Blair couldn't lie that she didn't love Todd, but due to everything she just can't be with him romantically again.
After all of that, Blair left and went to see Starr, letting her know of the engagement and how she was going back to Pennsylvania. We saw Todd with Carly (Laura Wright). She found out what happened and asked if he could have promised Blair to change. He didn't admit to it, but currently he has secrets that if Blair knew would hurt her again.
I do understand if people who love GH and never watched OLTL would be frustrated as this isn't something they would care about. And for those of us who watched OLTL it is odd because of course I'd rather see the action of Llanview characters in that town. Just like how years ago when Robin and Anna reunited on All My Children, I wished it had been on General Hospital instead. Like I said before,
That said I hope someday Todd and Blair reunite even if it is at the end of General Hospital. While it may not be the "right" show, I can't lie about wanting to see this happen. It was good that they did explain what happened on OLTL for those who didn't watch that program, though so may have ffed the material.
