On the eve of his wedding to Dayzee (Kristolyn Lloyd), Marcus (Texas Battle) texted her while driving and accidentally hit Anthony (Rodney Saulsberry). This is the current social issue story on "The Bold and The Beautiful".
Marcus went to the hospital with Anthony and tried to reach her. Stephanie (Susan Flannery) answered the phone. As the matron of honor, she kept him from talking to Dayzee, but he gave no indication of what was going on at the hospital. He then got in touch with his best man Thomas (Adam Gregory) who also used to date Dayzee. It seems like Thomas still likes her, but he's involved with Caroline (Linsey Godfrey).
Thomas convinced Marcus to not tell Dayzee before the wedding what happened to Anthony. Of course, since Anthony was the person who was supposed to give her away at the ceremony his absence was felt by those in attendance.
Dayzee and Marcus got married in the Forrester living room, and the event was officiated by Clarence who does the B&B web summaries. Back in the day, he also was on advertising for all of CBS daytime, but I digress. The majority of the guests were members of the Forrester and Logan families. Considering Marcus is Donna (Jennifer Gareis) son with Justin (Aaron D. Spears) who was adopted by Eric (John McCook) it makes sense these people were all there. Dayzee had the choice of three wedding gowns--one was made by Eric, one by Ridge (Ronn Moss) and the third by Thomas. She chose Thomas' gown, which really suited her.
The police came and nearly interrupted the ceremony. They decided to leave before going to talk to Marcus. So Marcus and Dayzee were allowed to wed without interruption. Marcus kept his mouth shut even after the wedding. Marcus and Dayzee enjoyed their wedding night together. Once the relationship was consummated, Marcus did come clean with Dayzee about Anthony being in the hospital and how he hit her friend.
They went to the hospital to visit Anthony. Anthony's doctor is played by As the World Turns alumni Jon Hensley (aka Holden Synder). The only positive about this situation is that it has been discovered that Anthony's limp can be fixed.
Anthony was extremely angry and upset with Marcus over what he did. The older man felt like Marcus was not good enough for Dayzee. While they were in Anthony's hospital room, the police came to arrest Marcus. Dayzee stood by her man following him to the police station.
At this point, we don't know if Marcus will go to jail for what he did. Texting while driving is a crime, and it should be treated as such. That said he didn't do it with malice. If Dayzee leaves him, it is understandable as while she loves him this situation may become extremely stressful. Hopefully if they do she will become involved with Thomas again.
