B&B: The Continuing Saga of Steffy, Liam & Hope

Recently on "The Bold & The Beautiful" Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Kim Matula) have been dealing with Steffy not agreeing to annul her marriage to Liam. They married under false pretenses, but since the feelings weren’t fake, she felt a divorce with a six month waiting period would be appropriate. This action has caused a lot of conflict for these characters.

Hope has been under a lot of pressure since Liam chose her and decided to break up with Steffy. Instead of sticking to her values, when Steffy wouldn’t give Liam an annulment, she moved in with him and they made love. It would be months until she could marry Liam and just couldn't wait any longer. Her first time was so traumatic that she started seeing a psychiatrist named Stacy Barton (Hillary B. Smith aka Nora from One Life to Live), who was a friend of her mother Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) to deal with her feelings. While being intimate with Liam, she heard Steffy’s voice in her head telling her that she was an adulteress. Of course, something like that and her guilt spoiled the mood. Dr. Barton gave her a prescription for two pills of an anti-anxiety medication.

While out with Dayzee (Kristolyn Lloyd) and Marcus (Texas Battle), a former teenaged fan of Hope was devastated seeing her with a married man. Hope freaked out and took one of the pills. She earlier had used the other one to sleep with Liam again. Liam though had no idea that Hope was seeing a therapist or needing pills to cope.

Amber (Adrienne Frantz) took advantage of the situation and ordered pills for Hope online. She gave them to Hope in a way that Hope believed they came from Dr. Barton. Hope continued to take the pills and nearly became addicted. She fell down in the pool at the Forrester house and could have hurt herself.

The paparazzi also attacked Hope. She was followed around LA, and Marcus got them away from her. Bill (Don Diamont) was upset about Liam’s choice and did what he could to help Hope to crack. Steffy, Liam and Hope were all in Aspen for fashion week. The program did a remote and included a fashion show that took place in town. Liam was there for Spencer Publications, while Steffy wanted inspiration for a new line for Forrester Creations. Hope came along as she wanted to have a romantic getaway with Liam. In Aspen, he got reporters to chase her around town as The Monkees’ Last Train to Clarksville played in the background. They even went outside his vacation home, harassing her and she took one of Amber’s pills.

She later took another, and ran into Steffy on the slopes. Hope believed she was fine, but Steffy needed a medic to bring her down the mountain in a toboggan. Liam stayed with Steffy at the hospital. Jon Hensley best known as Holden on As the World Turns played Steffy’s doctor. Liam came back to the house, telling her what happened to Steffy. Meanwhile Steffy signed the annulment papers, while Ramona looked on, they also spoke about how Bill arranged for Hope to be followed around Aspen. Liam went back to the hospital to see Steffy, while Hope packed up and went back to LA on the private plane. Hope had enough of this vacation nightmare.

We see Liam and Steffy alone on Bill’s property. There are clips from their first trip to Aspen, where they were married. Steffy admits to signing the papers, which he promptly rips up, which obviously gives her hope that they have a future together. Once all three of them are back in LA, Hope tells Liam she is moving out of his home until they are married. Hope’s mom Brooke decides that it would be great if Liam and Hope marry in Italy and now all they have to do is plan the big event.

That’s the latest in the saga of Hope, Liam and Steffy. If one looks at pictures from the Italy remote, some events are spoiled. It looks like a lot more will be happening to Liam, Hope and Steffy in the coming weeks.
