B&B: Stephanie's Party Invitations

I did a summary of the first two special episodes of "The Bold & The Beautiful" in which Stephanie (Susan Flannery) said goodbye to each of her loved ones inviting them to a party.

The episode that aired Monday, October 22, 2012 focused on Thorne (Winsor Harmon). Stephanie went down to the basement of Forrester Creations to say goodbye to her sweet son. These scenes were difficult as Thorne has always felt like the forgotten child, who was seen as second best to his older brother. They had a flashback to the memorable story where Thorne was involved with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Rex M. Best was responsible for the script.

The episode that aired Tuesday, October 23, 2012 focused on Donna (Jennifer Gareis). Due to the rival nature of her relationship with Stephanie, this felt like a breather as it was more silly than serious. One of the flashbacks was of when Stephanie tried to drown Donna in her bathtub. Donna just could not believe that Stephanie would invite her to a party especially one celebrating Stephanie's life. Michele Val Jean was responsible for the script.

The episode that aired Wednesday, October 24 focused on her granddaughter Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Scenes like Steffy's first day at the family company were shown and it was also mentioned how she is most like her grandmother. This episode was written by Tracey Ann Kelly.

The episode that aired Thursday, October 25 focused on Taylor (Hunter Tylo). She's both the mother of three of Stephanie's grandchildren and one of her best friends. It began with scenes from when Taylor and Stephanie weren't friends, but in time they became close. They spoke of the necklace that Stephanie gave Taylor and showed that material along with how Stephanie was there for Taylor when she nearly died. This episode was written by Adam Dusevoir.

The episode that aired Friday, October 26 focused on her relationship with Sally (Darlene Conley). Since Darlene has passed away, they couldn't actually create new seasons. B&B brought in Fabio to play himself who was with Sally. Stephanie and Fabio spoke on the phone and Stephanie couldn't bring herself to share her prognosis. A lot of old clips were shown including the many times Sally ended up in the water due to Stephanie, along with when they and the Spectra Gang Saul (Michael Fox) and Darla (Shae Harrison) were all friends. Stephanie admitted that when Sally cut her hair while drunk was the turning point in the relationship. Adam Dusevoir wrote the episode, and the song Smile played during a montage.

The episode that aired Monday, October 30 focused on her long time, on and off husband Eric (John McCook). There were a lot of really cool clips from over the years done in montage. So while we couldn't hear what they were saying we could see everything. They talk about how he may lose their memories over time. Stephanie tells him how her memories are now crystal clear and how they will always be together. She tells him that she will always be in his heart. Stephanie touched his heart, and they touched heads. John F. Smith wrote this episode.

That's my summary of these six special episodes. I really enjoyed them and appreciated their tone, which at times was serious, sometimes romantic, and on occasion funny. All of these things are part of life and B&B.
