Today there is an on-line strike due to the US House of Representatives and Senate and the SOPA and PIPA bills. If passed into law, these bills would change the web forever.
Things like YouTube and Twitter would be effected along with anyone who has a blog unless all they write about are life events or works in the public domain. Would infringement include simple things like even discussing a television show on a blog, social network or a message board that is not owned by the company that produces the program? That is one question I have yet to find an answer.
Basically sites all over including Google are doing things in honor of this strike. For more information you can just go to Google and type in SOPA or look up the term on wikipedia.
