On General Hospital, Kate Howard (Kelly Sullivan) has a serious problem: her alter Connie Falconeri. When Connie graduated from high school, she remade herself as Kate, to become a successful fashion editor. Now Kate has to deal with Connie appearing at the most inopportune times and trying to destroy her relationship with Sonny (Maurice Bernard).
What is hard for Kate is that she is losing a lot of time, and has no idea what Connie is doing when she is in control. Once she found herself with Johnny (Brandon Barash) and she freaked out, though Connie wants to sleep with him. It isn’t because she loves him or is attracted to him, but he could be an amazing instrument of revenge. Kate loves Sonny and wants to be with him, though Connie feels the opposite way. In her mind, the best way to get rid of Sonny is to get involved with one of his enemies.
Connie succeeded by convincing Johnny to sleep with her. Johnny knew something was wrong, but she said if he did not comply, he would accuse him of rape. Thankfully after the fact Johnny admitted to his grandfather Anthony (Bruce Weitz) what happened with Connie was wrong. They did it so, Sonny could walk in on them. She timed it so it was on Sonny’s birthday. A party was held at the Metrocourt and she lost it destroying his birthday cake. Kate had been out, and wanted to tell Sonny about her problems. She was scared about going to Shadybrook to deal with her DID as the disassociation was taking over her life. She ignored her psychiatrist Ewen Keenan (Nathin Butler) and Connie did her best to avoid him.
Unfortunately for Johnny after Sonny walked in on them, Carly (Laura Wright) walked into the room. Sonny had shot into the wall, and didn’t injure anyone. Carly though was livid finding out about Johnny and Kate. She had discovered that her feelings for Johnny were real, and felt he was reciprocating. This would cause a huge crimp in their relationship.
Connie and Ewen interacted after Kate did not check herself into Shadybrook. She attacked him in his office. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) eventually found him on the floor, and called for help.
Will Kate get back in control of her body and get the help she needs? Will the people who care for Kate forgive what she did as Connie? Will her relationship with Sonny end? Will Johnny be able to get Carly back or will he be left alone? In the coming weeks, we'll see how things turn out in Port Charles.
