OLTL: Thoughts on Episode 9

Here are my thoughts and a brief summary about episode nine (May 13, 2013) of One Life to Live.

Blair overhears Jack, Sam and David talking. She comes in saying what is going on in there. They are fighting over the computer hard drive. Sam uses the word "ass", as he can beat Jack's in a game. Jack says how he got the computer from Todd.

Dani and Matthew are home, she makes him get the door, and Destiny and Drew are on the other side. Jeffrey comes in and flirts with Destiny. Dani gets another call from Tea and has to go over there. Jeffrey says he can watch Drew, Matthew then says he can look after his son. Jack gets a call to go over Tea's and he takes Sam. Destiny works at "The Banner" at night running ads. She leaves angrily slamming the door and says call if Drew needs his mom. Jeffrey grew up with a single mom, so he feels sympathetic to Destiny. Matthew says that he doesn't need Jeffrey's help, and then Drew starts crying.

Todd and Viki are chatting. Viki says that maybe Victor will make peace with Todd, and that's what she wants a detente between her brothers. Viki tells Todd that if he acts like he forgives that eventually it may be true. David tells Todd that Jack was thrilled about the hard drive. Todd barges in as Blair is at the door.  Todd offers to take back the game. Blair says his son is like you.

Victor and Tea, he tells her he needs to get out of town. He tells Tea, that it isn't safe for him to stay. Victor says if I don't leave now then we may not have a future. He only revealed himself due to what was going on with Dani. Victor calls Sam, Zeke and he says Sam. Victor tells the kids that he is leaving town again. Sam says they can play Call of Duty remotely, but he says that is not possible. Victor tells Jack he loves him more than everything. He says the hardest thing was thinking they were all suffering. They share a group hug, Victor tells Jack to give Todd a chance. Sam says they can play again when he's back in town. Tea says his coming back made her alive again. They kiss goodbye and she gives him the bag.

The episode ends with a montage to Tommy & The High Pilots "Lonely Place", which is credited by the show. When alone, Tea knocks everything off the desk. Jack tosses the hard drive on the floor and kicks it. Matthew has all the kid stuff out on the leather sofa. Dani comes in looking sad and Matthew hugs her. Victor knocks on Todd's door as the episode closes.

General thoughts about this episode:

I liked that Jack's gaming hard drive was not a Mac, as that was appropriate. I was relived it wasn't a real computer as I would have been horrified to see its destruction. Viki spending time alone with her brother not discussing work was good. I was surprised that Matthew called Drew his son, and wonder if he watched the boy due to Clint's speech last week. Destiny working at "The Banner" late at night, I wonder if her job will be on the chopping block with the financial problems the paper has.
