OLTL: Thoughts on Episode 4

Here are my thoughts and a brief summary on episode four (May 2, 2013) of One Life to Live.

Viki and Jeffrey are talking business. She's in another different outfit from the last show. Viki wonders if it is right to make Dorian collateral damage. Clint comes in with alcohol to watch Dorian's interview with Viki and Jeffrey. The Banner online did end up using the quote that Viki and Jeffrey fought about on the website in which Dorian told him that the American public were a bunch of idiots who cannot spell their names right. After it ends, Clint says this calls for a celebration and pops the top. While Viki feels slightly sorry for her.

Dorian has Michelle's bangs and Nancy Pelosi's lips. David says that Dorian should go to plan B. Dorian starts to read a story about her. She nearly throws the tablet, but David says it is expensive and stops her. There is now an investigation about her. David tells Dorian that she did the crime of being naive and trusting the other Senators who screwed her over in this case. Chariman Cohen and Ashford were handed over the documents, and she mentions how they screwed them over by Bethany the reporter (co-host of the Z-100 event for AMC & OLTL). Dorian gets stabby with a letter opener and mentions how Viki is going to get it. (Yes I know stabby isn't an actual word, but in this case I feel it applies.)

Shelter Collapses is a headline on the top of the Banner. Vimal is reading the newspaper when Rama comes into the coffee shop. They talk about the status of their marriage. She isn't ready to commit forever to monogamy. Vimal suggests an open marriage with ground rules.

Tea and Victor are at home. They start kissing, taking off each other's clothes as they go to opening credits. Tea sees the tattoo on Victor's arm and he becomes distant after she starts asking questions. He pulls up his pants and walks away. Victor finds the nursery and asks about it. Tea explains how their baby died after Todd delivered Victor Jr. Then she explains the baby switch and Victor holds her as she cried. Victor suggests that Tea humor her and go to the hospital to see Dani who has been sleeping. When alone Victor rips the head off a stuffed giraffe. There is a camera watching him and we see video tracking numbers.

Cutter is putting up a sign for Nervo and Dean walks in with a cop named Bruce. Dean comes up with the idea of using Bruce as a security force at the club.

Todd wants to talk with Jack, Blair is there. Todd goes behind the bar and gets two bottles of Heineken beer. When Blair realizes that Todd wants to give one to Jack, she intercedes. Blair goes off on Todd and lists all of his more recent crimes. While she is ranting, he takes a flower out of a vase and wants to give it to Blair. Later Todd is nuzzling Blair while she says he should take his jet and go back to Port Charles as he is useless as a lover and pathetic as a father. Blair says that Todd is speechless, and then he says he doesn't need to say something if it is true.

General comments on the episode:

Why are Viki and Clint drinking something that looked alcoholic? They are both on anti-rejection medicine due to heart transplants and it was noted during ABC OLTL that for that reason Viki doesn't drink (unless Niki is in charge, but that's besides the point.) Of course, if online OLTL wants to forget that Clint had a heart transplant I'll be glad to ignore it. Viki's newspaper putting the story about Shelter's problems on the front page surprised me as the person who ODed was her niece. When Dean introduced Bruce to Cutter, I wondered if Bruce was just dressed as a cop and not legitimately with the police. When I saw the camera watching Victor I was relieved that it wasn't in the giraffe. On General Hospital Todd destroyed a stuffed animal bunny after putting a camera in it.
