AMC: Thoughts on Episode 7

Here are my thoughts and a brief summary about episode seven (May 8, 2013) of All My Children.

Adam and Brooke are together as he is planning to go out of town. Miranda came in the room. Then Celia is shown as Miranda's new tutor. They talk about their relationship woes, though Celia doesn't say it was Pete Cortlandt.

AJ is visiting JR, Dixie walked in and was surprised to see him. AJ was there for forms for baseball. AJ says that if JR really loved him he never would have brought a gun to his grandfather's engagement party which ruined his life.

Angie dressed in red comes into Jane's Addiction to find Jesse and Zach talking again about the trafficking. Angie mentions how she has texted Cassandra and still haven't heard anything back. Zach gets a call, and Angie realizes there was something else wrong with the case. Later in the episode, on a tip Jesse and Zach go to the the fancy finger nail salon in Center City as perhaps they have Cassandra.

David walked up to AJ and was surprised to see him. David says that he hopes he didn't lost his grandson. He said what he did to his father he didn't do to hurt him. David said if there is anything that AJ ever needs to just call him.

Cara wanted to see David and tell him what happened. She rejoined doctors without border and went to Haiti. She talked about she was put on bed rest in Haiti and then still lost the baby. He asks if there was something other than grief would keep her away from telling him the truth. She says she stayed away for her sanity. She tells him that he needs to move on too, and walks away from him. David realizes that Cara is lying, and we see Cara making a call destroy all records about me.

Celia mentions how she has a guardian and Miranda says how she only has a mom because her mother is gay. Celia tells her how the guy has the picture of her mom. AJ comes back without the coffee he promised Miranda. Winifred comes in with a bag, it was a corsage that AJ bought for the dance to give to Miranda, which they obviously aren't attending. He learned it on "The Bachelor", though he doesn't watch that show. AJ then goes to do his European parliament elections homework, which is an obvious lie. Miranda says that it is okay that AJ went to see JR in the hospital. She notices an envelope that AJ addressed to her.

Pete and Opal talk and she comforts him about Celia. And that the only woman he can count on is his mama. Then Pete is with Jane at her shop, helping with her computer system and she wonders why he isn't out on a date. Celia sees Pete at Jane's and they glare at each other. He comes up to her and says I thought you'd want that back giving her the photo of her mother.

Dixie says how David wants to be in AJ's life and that while he needs a man it should be JR. She then goes to leave, and hears JR say Mom.

General thoughts about the episode:

The nail salon had a different name on the building than what was said in dialogue. Does Miranda know that she was conceived by a rape? From her comment about a cup, it is possible that she assumes she came to be with the help of her lab or else she was lying to keep Celia from knowing what happened. I don't want Adam to leave town, but be around as JR just woke up from his coma. Hopefully, he'll be able to see his son soon. Cara is obviously lying, is Tad's assignment hiding Cara's baby from David. Right now the main stories are all based upon lies, hopefully someone will tell share the truth soon.
