This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.

AMC: Thoughts on Episode 5
Here are my thoughts and a brief summary about episode five (May 6, 2013) of All My Children.
Jesse and Zach talk about Cassandra and how she has been kidnapped by human traffickers. They want to do something to save her, but have yet to come up with a plan.Eventually they separate with Jesse going to the hospital and Zach visiting Jane's Addiction.
Angie and Cara are at the hospital discussing David. Dixie goes into JR's room and finds David there and freaks out calling for help. Angie and Cara go into the room, and David shares that JR moved his hand, so he was trying to take his pulse. Jesse appears after receiving a call from Dixie and threatens to arrest David again for attempting to murder JR again. They continue arguing and Angie comes out and tells them to shut up so she can finish her exam. She tells David to stay away from JR and that she will put a guard on the room, so he won't be able to break his parole.
Celia hides the tablet that Pete gave her. She snuck out of Bramwell Hall to spend time with Pete. She talks about her locket, and discovers a picture is missing. Pete says he took it with him. Celia is back at her place once the date has ended. She sees a mystery man in the mirror.
Jane breaks up Hunter and AJ's fight as Miranda ran away and is on a bench. Jane goes off about how no one can say what happened or do it again as Miranda is underage. AJ and Miranda talk about how she feels like a freak. He reassures her and they leave the bench together. They go back to his bedroom and she changes into a jersey. Miranda and AJ talk about how she wishes she didn't exist, but AJ says no way he couldn't do it without her.
Zach and Bianca run into each other at Jane's Addiction. They catch up about their lives mentioning Gabby and Kendall. Jane also shares with Bianca what happened to Miranda during her date. Bianca then goes to AJ's and she and Miranda argue and Bianca says she has to go before she says something that she will regret.
General Thoughts about the episode:
AJ gave the finger about the situation while talking to Miranda. This surprised me because I tend to see that reaction the most when people are driving and angry not hanging out on a park bench. That said I wish that AJ had said that Miranda wasn't the only freak as his life wasn't exactly like anyone else. Why do people talk behind Miranda's back and not AJ's as his life is as scandalous if not more so than hers. His father JR shot his aunt/adoptive mother Marissa to death and his grandfather David shot his father. I liked that Zach and Bianca spoke to one another due to family ties as he is related to both of her kids. When I saw Bianca in the scene with Jane, I wondered if there was something else going on there.
With the trafficking story, I appreciated that Zach wants Jesse to fill Angie in on that potential situation, as that was good advice. I'm still not really interested in Pete and Celia as the chemistry isn't wowing me and neither is the story.
