OLTL: Thoughts on Episode 14

Here are my thoughts and a brief summary about episode fourteen (May 23, 2013) of One Life to Live.

Dani has a fantasy about Matt who is exercising. They play with ice and then you see Dani burned the toast. Once Jeffrey and Matthew aren't around, Dani reads the chatting between Matthew and Michelle. Michelle's user name is "MSHLBELLE" and Matthew's name is "BUKE3452" Dani decides to convince Matthew to go running with her based on his discussion with Michelle though he has no idea she read his correspondence.

Drew, who has been SORASed, is with Nora and Bo. Nora woke up many times to take care of the boy who was sick. Nora tells Bo that they need to get Destiny and Matthew to become friends again for Drew's sake. Before going to Nora and Bo's, Destiny is with Viki discussing work. Viki is surprised about Destiny's schedule, and thinks she should have a better one at the paper for Drew's sake. Destiny then comes in and waves hello.  Nora explains how she is able to get Drew to drink cough syrup. Nora makes breakfast for everyone. Destiny says she isn't family, and doesn't expect to be taken care of by Bo and Nora.

Todd comes to see Jack with breakfast and Blair tells him that he should have called first not just show up in the driveway. Jack says he became a vegan yesterday and that meat is murder. Jack and Todd start arguing and Blair is there. Jack says that he loves Victor even if he has issues with it. Blair apologizes for Jack for everything, and he is ignoring her listening to his computer with headphones.

Clint is with Viki and they are discussing the Banner at her office. She reminds him whose name is on the door, and that she's in charge. At the coffee shop, Jeffrey and Clint run into each other. Clint compares Jeffrey to Jimmy Olsen, but he was a photojournalist. So is he really like Clark Kent, but Jeffrey didn't want to be compare him to superman. Clint discusses things that could be done for the paper like crowd-sourcing.  At the Banner, Jeffrey gives some of Clint's ideas as his own. Viki gets upset that Clint uses Jeffrey to promote his new ideas.  Viki says it was a bad idea to have taken the loan from her fiance.

Cutter talks to Bruce about needing more security at Shelter though it is a surprise. They are at the coffee house. Natalie comes in and Cutter breaks their Thursday date. They are going to go on Sunday instead. Later Natalie and Viki are on the phone though she accidentally burns her tongue. They discuss Natalie coming over for dinner, Natalie mentions her upcoming date. Viki says it is time for her to move on from John. Ironically Natalie gets a missed call from John when on the phone with her mom.

General thoughts about this episode:

I doubt that Jack will stay a vegan for very long, and just said that to annoy Todd. I think all of the Buchanans see Destiny as part of the family except for Matthew. Asa saw Viki and Nora as family when they weren't with Clint and Bo respectively and eventually Destiny should see that reality. Even if Clint didn't give Viki a loan for "The Banner" he would be making suggestions. The character was originally brought in to run the newspaper by Viki's late husband Joe Riley though his new tech talk makes me laugh. Loved seeing Bo with little Drew and how the kid was still hungry. Michelle's screen name was someone a fan of "The Beatles" due to that old song, Michelle, my bell.
