B&B: The Charity Fashion Show

On the Friday, May 3, 2013 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful", Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) hosted a special event in her aim to keep her boyfriend Rick (Jacob Young) interested in her instead of Maya (Karla Mosley).

Caroline was inspired by seeing hot guys exercising at the gym at Forester Creations. The event was called "Forrester Men Baring It All for the Caroline Spencer Cancer Foundation." Rick, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), Marcus (Texas Battle), Thomas (Adam Gregory) and Oliver (Zack Conroy) participated. They wore various items for the bedroom and the beach. When you think about the high powered jobs most of these men have, I was amused. I wonder what the Forester employees thought about Rick and Thomas, who are respectively a president and vice president of the company walking around barely dressed. (Then again perhaps they are used to it with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) having an intimates line, but I digress.) At the end all the guys stood behind Caroline without their shirts on, as she thanked everyone for coming to the event.

While this was a fun event, Caroline did give a serious speech and spoke about the importance of research. She spoke about her late aunt Caroline (Joanna Johnson) that she was named after and how she passed away. Nearly everyone from LA was watching the event including Caroline's other mother Dani (Crystal Chappell) as her biological mom Karen (who is Caroline's twin was missing.)  One of the funniest moments was when Donna (Jennifer Gareis) whistled for Rick, but as everyone knows Rick is her nephew. I hope that is one pairing that never happens on B&B.

Out of the four soaps that are still airing on television three have done "hot guys" get naked for charity in the last 4-8 weeks. I wonder if this is a coincidence or if it is a trend. That said I doubt it will be the last time a soap does this kind of story as they've done variations over the years (like on Guiding Light in 1984 there was a male bodybuilder charity event where the contestants who weren't cast members flexed to raise money for an animal shelter.)
