AMC: Thoughts on Episode 17

Here are my thoughts and a brief summary about episode seventeen (June 3, 2013) of All My Children.

Jesse, Zach and Lea go in the room and Cassandra is gone. Jesse meets Tia and Billy Clyde says if anything happens to Cassandra it is on Jesse's head not his. Lea is alone with the girls, and Tia says it is useless. Eileen shares that Tia told Uri and Vlad that Jesse was a cop and otherwise she wouldn't have been taken away. Angie and Joe are speaking while Amy is being examined. Joe comforts Angie over Cassandra and explains how he and Ruth felt when Tad was kidnapped by his biological father. Lea and Zach are talking to Billy Clyde in Lea's office, and he says that he has nothing to do with the Koslovs. Jesse finds what Cassandra etched in the wall. I love you Mom & Dad - Cass. Jesse the starts to cry. Uri goes down to the floor, where Cassandra is bound and gagged. It is a generic room with blocks of bricks and a ratty metal desk. Billy Clyde explains how he came to find the gentleman's club and once he leaves Lea says that it was a waste of time. Angie goes to the police station and tells an officer that he has to share what he knows because Jesse's case is her daughter. Uri calls Jesse and Uri puts Cassandra on the phone. She yells for help and the call gets disconnected. Jesse and Uri are back on the phone and he is told that he has to do exactly what the Koslovs want or else. Angie comes in and Jesse shows her the words on the wall. He then agrees to Uri's demands.

Pete is on the phone yelling about David's press conference. Celia sees the mirror man and freaks out again. David comes to see Brooke for business. Brooke says she'd like him to be a guest on her show "Talk Tempo", and it has nothing to do with Chandler Enterprises. David agrees to do her program. David asks JR who walked in the room if he was getting his memory back already. He continues to berate JR, and gets a phone call from Pete. Celia and Pete are packed and ready to go back to Pine Valley. David is at Jane's Addiction and she gives him something called "A Shot in the dark". Pete comes in and they chat. Celia gets upset again as Jane goes to talk to her, but she decides to go home and asks Jane to tell Pete that she left.

General thoughts about the episode:

Having Joe talk about Tad's kidnapping was surprising as that happened so long ago and Ray Gardner was the culprit. Ray played by Gil Rogers is known to some soap fans as Hawk on Guiding Light, though Ray was utter evil. The name of Jane's special coffee was ironic. I liked that Jesse found the message Cassandra left for Angie and him. I wonder what will happen to the other girls as they sort of just disappeared, will they go to the Miranda center - hopefully that won't be dropped. I also wonder if Brooke's "Talk Tempo" will be a special feature and not part of the regular "AMC" so we can see her full interview with David if it happens.
