AMC: Thoughts on Episode 21

Here are my thoughts and a brief summary about episode twenty-one (June 17, 2013) of All My Children.

Celia dreams she is intimate with Pete and then see the mirror man. She is woken up by Heather. We then see Pete and Colby in bed, and they start kissing again. Opal comes in and finds them in bed. When alone again, Colby mentions how the last time this happened to her was in high school. Celia explains her issue with seeing this imaginary man even when awake. As Colby does her walk of shame out of Opal's house, they banter and Opal says how the Chandlers don't have the kind of money that they used to do. Pete tells Opal that he wants to get a loft across the street from Cortlandt Electronics. Opal explains how she had a bad feeling about Celia, which is why she isn't upset that her son is no longer seeing her. At Jane's Addiction, AJ, Heather, Celia and Miranda are hanging out and you can tell that AJ and Heather have a lot in common when it comes to musical interests. Miranda and AJ talk about Heather, which makes him realize that they could date.

Billy Clyde calls a tailor named Kenny and is able to get him by name dropping Palmer Cortlandt. This part was filler, but it may lead into something else.

JR is exercising while AJ is getting ready to leave and asks about the steroids. JR asks who gave him them and it was Kyle. Miranda comes in and they leave for Jane's Addiction. Someone named Randy comes in and asks for Colby Chandler. When Colby comes in, she pays Randy the money as her boyfriend stole drugs from him. Colby thinks that JR is weak and isn't standing up to Brooke.

Angie goes to the police station looking for Jesse, though he has been out all night. He's on a bench and then we see Cassandra laying on the floor of their home. David knocks on the door, Angie doesn't enter he comes in and finds Cassandra. Angie and Jesse find each other, she tries to convince him to get some rest. Then a cop plays the  911 dispatch for an ambulance to their home. David is with Cassandra and the paramedics, Angie and Jesse come into the room. They are worried she won't make it due to a heroin overdose. The paramedics don't want Angie to go with them, but she won't leave her child. Meanwhile Lea comes into Zach's room with her gun cocked, while Zach is standing in his Red Wings jersey. Zach and Lea are having room service breakfast they talk about hockey and then Kendall. Lea gets a call that they found Cassandra and they go to the hospital. At the hospital, Dr. Anders is going to treat Cassandra. Joe and David convince Angie to trust him. The doctor tells them that Cassandra is breathing on her own, but there is still a long way to go. Zach and Jesse hug while Lea watches, Angie and Jesse get permission to visit Cassandra. Angie promises that no one will hurt her like that again.

General thoughts about the episode:

I thought everyone in Pine Valley knew Angie is a doctor, and the paramedics should have known David was one too. Of course, due to David's issues I can understand why they wouldn't want him to treat Cassandra. We finally got a reason why Opal doesn't like Celia. I wonder if Colby's boyfriend that used drugs is someone we already know.
