Bad news for Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) as Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) and Liam (Scott Clifton) got married. It was a green card ceremony officiated by Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) that took place at the beach house. Below I write about my thoughts.
Ivy thought she had dual citizenship as her father John (Fred Willard) is an American, even though she lived her entire life until recently in Australia. The irony is Ivy was correct, but only found out about it after Liam said "I Do". Even though, they're dating, Liam still has feelings for his former wife Steffy. Steffy has made no secret about wanting to renew her relationship with Liam. He balked more than once and told Steffy that he was in love with Ivy. Now that Liam married Ivy, he has the worst case of cold feet, and wants Steffy back. Will Liam honor his vows?
Quinn (Rena Sofer) has been supportive of Ivy's relationship with Liam. She got a wedding dress to the beach house and also gave Ivy a bracelet. Is it because she actually likes Ivy or loves the idea of her son Wyatt (Darren Brooks) hooking up with Steffy? In the past, Quinn pushed Ivy into the Seine to get her closer to Liam to aid her son's cause during his doomed relationship with Hope (Kim Matula). That's why I wonder what Quinn's intentions are. Is she being genuine or just part of her long game to get Wyatt into the Forrester family solidifying their place at Forrester Creations. If Steffy and Liam reunite, whose to say that anyone in charge will want her or Wyatt around the company?
As a viewer, I wasn't emotionally attached to Liam and Ivy though I certainly didn't hate them. Liam was "tricked" into a marriage with Steffy (see making the gondola be late and Hope not being able to stop the ceremony.) So in some ways, it feels like Steffy is paying now for what she did then. I just hope the "triangle" remains a "square" as I don't want another round of Liam in the middle.
