This week on One Life to Live, Brody Lovett (Mark Lawson) saw his world fall apart, as everyone found out that he was not baby Liam’s biological father. The Buchanan clan had yet another wedding ceremony aborted at the altar as Natalie (Melissa Archer) realized that she could not marry him. This turn of events would never come to be if not for Princess David Vickers. Tina’s (Andrea Evans) Shih Tzu found the document, and it became a comedy of errors.
Princess David Vickers was able to read the paternity test she took from Victor Lord Jr.’s (Trevor St. John) home, which revealed that John (Michael Easton) was the father of Natalie’s son. Victor was keeping this information from John as he hated the police detective. Victor (then called Todd) got the document from Marty (Susan Haskell) before he helped her get out of town. She even shared the news with baby Liam, but he couldn’t verbalize it to his family.
Jessica (Bree Williamson) found the document that dog was carrying around, but when she shared the story with her fraternal twin Natalie, she didn’t believe her. Jessica initially kept her mouth shut, as she felt guilty if she played a part in breaking Brody’s heart again as he already had lost Ryder. Then she changed her mind as it wouldn’t be fair to John to not know, but unfortunately John was already on his way out of Llanview.
Doggie David Vickers went missing again, so Tina couldn’t act as Natalie’s maid of honor. Natalie’s adoptive mom Roxanne (Ilene Kristen) did the honor, while Cord (John Loprieno) stayed as Brody’s best man. Tina and her dog arrived at the wedding with the paperwork proving Liam’s parenthood. At first, Natalie was stunned, but once Brody refused a paternity test she realized it was true. He knew and had since he listened to Marty’s confession. Natalie even had known, but she had memory loss for the short time, that she was aware of the situation. That would have been an interesting way for OLTL to handle the situation.
Natalie left to go after John who was at the airport. Tina got a happy surprise as Cord got down on one knee and proposed to Tina again. The maid of honor and the best man became the bride and groom. She said yes and they married a third time. Since Tina is Natalie’s aunt and Cord is Natalie’s half-brother their family was obviously already at the church. The only problem was that they didn’t have a marriage license. Viki (Erika Slezak) called an off camera Dorian for a favor, and all the paperwork was taken care of for that special day.
Viki was her sister Tina’s attendant, while Cord asked his father Clint (Jerry verDorn) to be the best man. Clint wasn’t thrilled about this wedding, though he wasn’t happy about Brody and Natalie either. Of course he was glad to be out of house arrest for a time to enjoy the activities. Bo, Nora, Shaun and Vivian also were in attendance. During Cord and Tina’s wedding, Shaun held Princess David Vickers. Meanwhile Brody hit Nigel and kidnapped Liam.
It was great to see Cord and Tina renew their relationship and remarry. This is one happy ending I am glad to have seen before the last episode of One Life to Live airs on ABC. Hopefully Cord and Tina spend time off screen with their grown children Sarah and CJ and that Princess David Vickers like his new daddy.
