On Wednesday, November 10, I was able to catch an episode of The Bold & The Beautiful. The main story was about Hope (Kimberly Matula) and Thomas (Adam Gregory).
Years ago, if someone had said they are going to put Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) daughter and Ridge’s (Ronn Moss) son in a romantic relationship, I would have been confused and slightly horrified. Brooke and Ridge have had an on and off relationship for most of the 25 years The Bold & The Beautiful has been on the air. For years, Brooke was torn between Ridge and his father Eric (John McCook), but some time after 2000 it turned out Ridge was not Eric’s biological son. For a time, Ridge had a serious relationship with Brooke and Eric’s daughter Bridget. If anyone could make a comment about this situation it should not be Ridge, as he has no leg to stand on in this case.
Hope was surprised that Thomas kissed her and that she liked it. She is still hung up on Liam (Scott Clifton), who married Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who is also a sister to Thomas. Of course, Steffy finding out about Thomas liking Hope was great news. She wants Hope to leave her husband alone and Thomas can keep her busy. The one positive of this story is that Thomas genuinely likes Hope and isn’t interested in her to get revenge or money. Of course, Brooke is worried about this situation. Thomas had lied about sleeping with Brooke to inherit a huge amount of stock from his grandmother Stephanie (Susan Flannery).
Questions remain in this situation. Hope wants to move on from Liam, and Thomas is ready and willing to help her. Will she make that choice or look for a man that she does not share family members with as they share a half-sibling R.J. The other big one is how does the family deal with two of the younger generation wanting to date their stepsibling.
