Thoughts about "Neighbours" - July 2017

Below are my thoughts for the July 2017 episodes of "Neighbours". Don't continue if you haven't seen it.

Mishti and Aaron ended up getting the gym after all named "The Shed". Mishti supported Yashvi, as an Aunt frustrating her sister Dipi. Kirsha was forced to go to a sleepover, and then didn't show up, the family was worried, but found her in the backyard wearing headphones with Clancy the dog.  Yashvi went out on a date with Tyler's intern Evan at the garage, and got drunk at the Backpackers. Eventually the family reconciled. Toadie was surprised by the return of his "FlyingFish" and Willow moved in with him after leaving her mother in the UK. Mark investigated and found out that her father was in Australia, while Toadie didn't want to give up being a surrogate father to the teen. Amy tried to get Toadie to change his mind.

Terese started cancer treatments, and at first she lied to her family. Paul figured it out, and was a support to her. Eventually she told the truth at least to her closest friends and family. She didn't tell her bosses, and vomited during an important meeting. Sadly, she wasn't getting better so Gary decided to see Terese's incarcerated brother Nick, who had been a successful oncologist. That wasn't the only drama for the family. Piper got harassed so badly online, that she had to log off. She had spoken about the issue of objectifying women in video games and what happened in the past with her ex. All of her personal data got released including private videos, photos and thoughts. This strained Xanthe and Piper's relationship, but they reconciled. Xanthe quit school and decided to work at the spa. One afternoon, Terese and Paige had to deal with a police squad thinking they were criminals as the internet troll called them scaring poor baby Gabe. When Terese was in a jam, Paige gave Courtney a go, and is now the spa manager. Terese asked Paige to be her assistant. It looks like Paige's feelings for Mark are back, as we saw them spending time together in Queensland via flashback, but she is trying to be a strong independent single mother. Elly and Mark went to a wine tasting and enjoyed themselves.

Mannix got injured, and Leo forced David to treat him with the "I paid your way through school" and you owe me. This was awful for the brothers, but things to a bit better. Paul paid off Mannix or at least got him out of town. David's month ended well though as Aaron serenaded him in public, and they kissed. All the misunderstandings were gone, and Aaron realized that David didn't want anyone else either.

The Brennans mother Fay came to town, though it is uncertain of everything that is going on within the family. Their dad reached out to Sheila, who moved on with a Steph and Jack got closer, as they decided to try for the best suburb contest that Sonya wanted to promote. Sonya was supportive of Toadie's relationship with Willow. Sheila started to date Clive (who was on the show back in the day, which I didn't know). Clive is the COO of the hospital and a doctor, and Sheila was scared of embarrassing herself. Once they started to interact as people though it was a successful date.

Those were the highlights of "Neighbours" for July 2017. I'm glad that things are moving again in the stories though I wonder if there will be another new couple soon.
