Days: Six Random Thoughts for August 2017

Since Ron Carlivati has taken the writing reigns less than a month ago, I wanted to do a random thoughts.

  1. Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) left Salem after Abby (Marci Miller) put herself in the aim of a car heading towards Chad (Billy Flynn). Dario had become way too emotionally invested in Abigail and convinced her to marry him. Then when she wanted out of it, he blackmailed her, by saying if you leave me Chad goes to prison. Oh and you have to come with me into witness protection. Now that Dario is missing there is one dangling issue, outside of was Chad actually guilty, which is who is Dario's partner. Is this going to be said, or is a dropped plot?
  2. While I appreciated Steve (Stephen Nichols) giving presents to Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) on the anniversary of their 1988 wedding, their current story isn't great. Steve never chose Ava (Tamara Braun) over Kayla, so acting as if Steve had a choice makes no sense. This is hurting Tripp's motivation too.
  3. Why should I care about Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) being murdered? This is a story that was changed due to the writing swap, but even if Victor (John Aniston) paid someone I just am not invested.
  4. Jade (Gabrielle Haugh) left town to spend some time with her mother cleaning up her late grandmother's home. The character was a bit of a mess, and I hope her life improves even if we never see her on screen again, like many wish.
  5. Angelica (now played by Morgan Fairchild) wants Justin (Wally Kurth) so badly that she is enlisted the help of Hattie (Deidre Hall) and Bonnie (Judi Evans) to do it. Hattie has replaced Marlena, and we'll see how and if Bonnie replaces Adrienne. This story is crazy, but we've seen odder.
  6. So Theo (Kyler Pettis) ended it with Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) over a sex video that only his father and her grandmother saw. Ridiculous story, glad it is over and it happened in the last administration.

Anyway, so that's what I'm thinking about Days these days.
