B&B: The Newest Forrester House guest

On "The Bold and the Beautiful" life just got strange for married couple Eric (John McCook) and Quinn (Rena Sofer), as they have a new house guest. See below for my thoughts.

Even though Eric was heartbroken over how Quinn had an emotional affair with Ridge (Thorsten Kay), he reconciled with his wife after finding out that she was willing to give up everything (her name and career among other things) once she signed the papers. Eric had Carter (Lawrence St. Victor) make them, and Eric destroyed them. While Eric wasn't forgiving Ridge, he did have his marriage back for now.

That being said, things went wrong when Sheila went to the mansion to drop off jewelry that had been a present from Stephanie years earlier. Instead of being a gracious winner, Quinn provoked Sheila. They had a minutes long on screen cat fight, and the audience was left wondering if Quinn had killed Sheila. She woke up, but had a concussion. Since Sheila was alone, and didn't have anyone to help her. Eric invited her to live in the mansion. (Considering Steffy already shot Sheila, though it was a flesh wound, she's been injured a lot by Forresters since her return to Los Angeles.)

Having Sheila move into the mansion isn't an intelligent thing for Eric to do. Seriously what is he thinking, letting his former wife, who is a known kidnapper among other things into his home doesn't make sense. He even has a restraining order against her, from years earlier. I know that Eric is easily deceived, but making him this naive is crazy. That said, I thought it was ridiculous that he forgave Quinn so easily. This probably was all so we could have the wacky or not so wacky situation of these three characters living together in the mansion. Though with the size of the abode, it isn't as if Quinn couldn't sequester herself in a wing, and ignore Sheila. Of course, this would not make any sense for a fictional story, but I digress.

There were other ways to keep Sheila in Eric and Quinn's orbit without moving her in, though this does get Sheila closer to her ultimate goal of getting her portrait (currently unfinished) on the wall of the mansion's living room. I just wish the show had done it in such a way that didn't make Eric look easily manipulated and completely clueless.
