GH: Six Random Thoughts for August 2017

Here is my list of six random things I'm thinking about "General Hospital" these days.

This is through the August 11, 2017 episode of GH, and may include spoilers.
  1. Sam (Kelly Monaco) lost her mind, and shot Sonny after ranting to him, and having hallucinations. Why do I feel like they are speaking to a certain segment of the audience with this current plot?
  2. So Spencer (Nicholas Bechtel) is done with his summer visit to the show, as he last appeared on August 4, 2017 as the character returned to boarding school. It is also a way to explain if we don't see Laura (Genie Francis) for a bit. At least the court case isn't dead, even if Spencer will be out of town.
  3.  A part of the fanbase of "General Hospital" is very relieved that William deVry isn't leaving the show even if Julian had a "last" episode. That said for many the character is almost impossible to redeem.
  4. What is it that the kids are the truth-tellers on this show? Joss (Eden McCoy) is the only one who can condemn Sonny, while Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) was the only one who was honest over how awful Ava's (Maura West) burns are.
  5. So the Man Landers story continues as now Maxie (Kirsten Storms) wants to investigate the identity of the blogger, after Mac (John J. York) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) had "fun" in the park and were discovered by Stella (Vernee Watson-Johson). Seriously why?
  6. It was surprising seeing a drop-in James DePaiva as Dr. Bensch again, though I think the idea of Kiki (Hayley Erin) being a doctor isn't bad, though the accelerated medical program did. Will she beat the six months to physician record?
So that's what I'm thinking about GH. Even if the comedy is strange, it is sort of good that it isn't all depressing right?
