B&B: Eric Knows the Truth about Quinn & Ridge

This week, Eric (John McCook) finally discovered the emotional affair that Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) were having behind his back, below are my thoughts.

Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) realized that there was something off in Eric's marriage to Quinn, and in the guise of protecting her former husband, she enlisted help from head of security Charlie (Dick Christie). While Sheila didn't know the details and caused Eric to be skeptical, she was seeing the "connection" between Quinn and Ridge. Skeptical does mean getting angry and throwing a glass in my world, as people throwing glassware in daytime is a staple. Meanwhile, Quinn and Ridge had finally decided to share the truth with Eric. They came in just as Eric was trying to get Sheila to leave. They shared their truth (with it ending on today's episode July 6, 2017), and Eric tossed Quinn out of the mansion. Ridge had to leave for other concerns, and Eric was left with Sheila.

The best part of this was that Eric got so angry that he called Ridge, by his biological father's last name of Marrone. This is the only time, I like that development, otherwise, I'd prefer the character to be related to Eric biologically. So many couples of the past would be incest if it would be changed back, so it never can be. I think if Quinn and Ridge had only kissed the one time when they were drinking tequila, Eric could have forgiven them. The fact that it happened numerous times, made it worse. At least they allowed Eric to realize that this was the reason that Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) didn't marry Ridge, and why Brooke would like to him. I do wonder if and when Eric will find out how both Katie (Heather Tom) and Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) knew. They should have been on Eric's side, but kept quiet for various reasons.

If this is the end of Quinn and Eric's relationship so be it. I just wonder what picture will go on the mantle next. Will we get a return of Stephanie's portrait, or is Sheila next in line to get a painting of her to be placed in the Forrester Mansion.
