Today, July 20, 2017, the US soaps weren't on as usual in many parts of the country for a preemption.
"The Bold and the Beautiful" was national preempted so no one saw a new episode.
"Days of Our Lives", "General Hospital", and "The Young and the Restless" were on in some areas, but not others meaning for most online, on demand are the only option for the first two, while Pop is available for the third.
It felt like we traveled back in time as the preemption was caused by O.J. Simpson. This time it was a parole hearing for a crime he was found guilty of, and after nine years he will be allowed out of prison. At least this time, it was just one day and not months worth of stress over whether or not a particular show would air.
This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.
