Thoughts about "Queens of Drama" - Episode 6

Here is a live blog summary and my brief thoughts about episode six of "Queens of Drama". The title of episode six is "We Have to Clean Up Her Mess" and stated by Crystal Hunt.

The ladies (Crystal, Chrystee Pharris, and Lindsay Hartley) are talking about the disastrous meeting in Palm Springs. Vanessa Marcil has quit. Lee Fleming and Donna Mills enter the conference room. Donna shares how Hunter Tylo is really upset and isn't coming.

We see Vanessa at home and Hunter stops by. Vanessa is packing, and Hunter is apologetic. Hunter feels like it is all her fault. Vanessa feels like Hunter is shady. Hunter explains how the network wants Vanessa and Donna told her that her name needs to be attached to the project. Vanessa thinks Hunter's visit failed as, while Vanessa wishes the group well, she's out of the program.

At the production office, Lee and the others discuss Vanessa's quitting. They are able to convince Donna to be in the pilot.  Donna and Lee have a short presentation written.  "Lies, Secrets, and Minivans" is the name that Lee has come up with, thought Crystal calls it "Sex, Lies, and Minivans". She would rather be driving an SUV. Chrystee wants to dive in, and they need two male actors. Donna needs to delegate, so the project gets completed.

Donna and Chrystee have tea together. Chrystee explains how she was pushed out of another project of this nature, and doesn't want that to happen again. Hopefully this information will make things easier for Donna and Chrystee to interact in the future.

Lindsay and her boyfriend Jason-Shane Scott have a hottub moment. They do some gratuitous shots of Jason, which are appreciated. Jason shares how he's involved in a potential project that is filming in New York instead of LA. Lindsay would prefer if he would remain in California. She mentions how one of the roles in the show would fit him. They make mention about how she would be his boss. They start kissing and becoming intimate.

At the production office, Crystal, Lindsay and Hunter are looking through head shots. Hunter apologizes to Crystal and Lindsay about Vanessa leaving the project. Both Hunter and Crystal think bringing Jason in to audition would be a bad idea. Hunter was married to an actor for eighteen years, and feels having Jason involved would hurt Lindsay's chances to stay with him.

Those are the highlights of episode six. Since Vanessa is no longer in the project, it looks like everyone else will get a larger focus. I think hearing about what Chrystee went through was helpful as I wondered if she was paranoid about the project falling apart.
