This blog is mainly about soaps, though it will sometimes veer into other topics. The main purpose is to provide a space for when board discussion isn't enough as sometimes my thoughts and feelings take on a life of their own. Even if some of the shows I enjoy have been cancelled, I will continue to post about them. They may take away the shows, but they can't destroy the love.

OLTL: Thoughts on Episodes 27 & 28
Here are my thoughts and a brief summary about episodes 27 & 28 (July 8, 2013) of One Life to Live.
Note: I number these without the "More episodes" included in the count. On Hulu, these are episodes 36 & 37.
Episode 27:
Dorian leaves a message for Frank. Blair wonders where Jack is and Dorian heard him leave in the morning. Jack answers Blair's phone call and he's in bed with Kate. Dorian mentions her issues with Rama and David, but Blair says she is not a threat. Nora goes to talk to Dorian about Viki and the fund.
Matthew is talking to Michelle again. Jeffrey and Dani still don't understand why Matthew is seeing Michelle. Dani gets a call from Arturo. He is in Briana's suite sorting through her things. Dani agrees to see him, and lies to Matthew about it. Matthew asks Dani what she thinks about Michelle and says if this makes you happy. Dani then is in Briana's room with Arturo. She is helping him pack up Briana's things. He offers to let her have a scarf, she liked. Dani says no, and she also won't take his money. Arturo leaves, and Dani opens the door for housekeeping and Michelle is standing on the other side. Jeffrey gets mail from Carl, his benefactor who will be visiting Llanview soon.
Nora is worried about what Dorian said about Viki and shares her concerns with Bo. Bo doesn't understand why Nora cares, but if Dorian is right Viki may have committed a serious crime. Bo agrees to call Clint to find out what he knows, but Clint shares nothing. Clint tells Viki that he apologized to Natalie. He tells her that Natalie forgave him, and hopes that she will do the same. Viki isn't sure everything is good between them. Nora than goes to Viki about Dorian's threats to go to the SEC. Viki takes off her engagement ring in frustration with Clint's actions.
Bo calls Jason in about Briana's death and Bruce is the cop on duty to bring him into the room. Jason walked Briana up to her room, but didn't go in as they didn't sleep together. Bo threatens Jason, and when he leaves we see the tattoo.
General thoughts about this episode:
Other than the Llanview regulars, does nearly every new character have a tattoo? I'm waiting to see one on Jeffrey just cause, not that I want him to be part of the conspiracy. Dani being attracted to Arturo due to her father issues would not be very far-fetched. She had Ross, then Victor and now Todd and all of these men are killers.
Episode 28:
Destiny and Natalie are preparing for Jeffrey and Cutter's arrival for their group date. Nora took the kids, so it will be just the four of them. Jeffrey comes first and then Cutter, it is a bit awkward. They share a meal, and Cutter gets a call from Rama, so he goes back to work. Before Cutter left, he and Natalie were touching each other under the table and liking it. The ice machine is broken, and Cutter gets upset that it was something so minor. Cutter calls Natalie to apologize asking for another date. The next time, he wants to go out without the chaperones.
Blair and Todd are talking about Jack and agree it is better if their son is pissed off than dead. Kate and Jack are flirting in the coffee shop, while Shaun is following them. Kate gets upset and leaves. Jack calls Blair about Shaun, but Todd won't take him off the case. Blair and Todd talk about their kids and how scared she gets about not being able to protect their children. Blair starts to leave, and Todd pushes her against the door. Todd and Blair are sharing a meal together and hold hands at the table.
Jeffrey comes over to see Viki, and we see Clint pocket Viki's ring. Jeffrey doesn't understand how her money may not have been lost. Jeffrey agrees to investigate what happened for his boss. Viki gets the call back from Jeffrey about the fund. Clint comes back in and asks about why she took off the ring. Viki asks again if Clint is keeping something from her. He says he couldn't survive without her. Dorian interrupts and tells Viki that Clint betrayed her. Clint wants to throw her out, but Dorian leaves before he can. Clint admits to Viki that he gave her the money to cover her losses. Viki feels betrayed, and cannot take his controlling ways. She gives him back the engagement ring.
David wants to take Dorian to Shelter for a night of dancing as he is excited that he will have a pitch meeting in the morning. Dorian says she can't go and calls Frank again. Frank won't tell her anything about the Pellegrino fund, though he shares that Viki's money was invested when it was frozen. David goes by himself and hangs out with Rama. They dance, but Rama is pulled away for work. Later Rama and David dance again and start kissing. Dorian comes in, she pulls her away from David. David wants Dorian's forgiveness, but she tells him something got broken that can't be fixed.
Dani tells Matthew about going to the Palace and cleaning out Briana's things. Dani starts to tell Matthew about Michelle being in housekeeping, and Michelle comes up and says that she has lied to him again. Michelle apologizes for not telling him about her being a maid. Matthew accepts her apology, they go to dance, and Dani gags.
General thoughts about this episode:
Shaun was on again, but didn't say anything. Blair should want to know who Jack is sleeping with, though she has no idea he is banging his teacher. Since David betrayed Dorian, and Clint betrayed Viki, will they actually get along for five minutes or will there be a confab at Bo's place where his son and brother share how they screwed up their relationships. Either scene idea could be fun. Dani's reaction to Matthew and Michelle made me laugh as she really can't stand her.
