This week Steffy (Jacqueline MacInness Wood) plan to get Liam (Scott Clifton) succeed as she married him on the top of Ajax in Aspen. Does this mean the end for Liam with Hope or will he honor his commitment to Steffy?
Hope (Kimberly Matula) broke up with Liam, due to Steffy, but decided she wanted him back regardless of the engagement. She was held up in a gondola and saw the entire ceremony, which broke her heart. The parallels were obvious to Hope and Steffy’s moms (Brooke and Taylor) as they lived a triangle with Ridge for many years. The only person who thought Liam was not in the right in this was Ridge. I agree with that opinion, as Liam needs to make a choice and stick to it when he knows all the facts.
Liam and Steffy’s marriage does not make many people happy. Katie is horrified that her husband Bill who had an affair with Steffy advocates this relationship. Her reticence is understandable as the woman who nearly caused her marriage to end is now her daughter-in-law. And Katie as Hope’s aunt would want Hope’s happiness. Bill thinking this is a good idea is something that obviously would be distressing to Katie. She is unwilling to support Liam and Steffy and her behavior is justified.
This fall out of this situation doesn’t only affect the Spencers, but also the Forresters due to Hope for the Future. A fashion campaign based on Liam and Hope turns into Liam marrying Hope’s stepsister. Then again perhaps some scandal will help the fashion house, but that remains to be seen.
