Thoughts about "Hollyoaks" - August 2017

Here is my rundown post of what's happened on "Hollyoaks" in August 2017. This is not sequential.

Neeta needed the equivalent of a day after pill after her time in Ibiza with Hunter. Prince continued to have issues working for Mac, and got an audio of Neeta talking to Hunter, though Prince has no idea his brother is hooking up with her. Hunter got into an art school in Scotland, and he and Neeta would leave to be together. Mac's car went missing, and he called the cops, so he discovered that Neeta was with Hunter from a traffic camera. This happened at Alfie's 16th birthday party, and thankfully Tom got Alfie his dream tickets to a museum.

Earlier in the month, Hunter and Prince lost their Dad, Shane. Before this, Shane caused Lily heartbreak as he lied and said that Prince didn't want her even after he got a tattoo of her name (which was spelled wrong.) He had kidnapped Joel and Cleo. Darren found them, and they ran away from Shane. There was a fight and Shane fell on the beach, the others left him for dead. Darren and Nancy renewed their vows, but Darren feeling guilt over everything turned himself over to the police as a drug dealer. He had been so horrified over Cleo using, and couldn't live with his behavior. He shared who was involved in the heroin trade, but probably won't get off with a slap on the wrist. Nancy told Darren it was over, but she wasn't going to leave him due to the kids. Joel decided to leave the priesthood, thrilling Cleo, but upsetting Myra. We haven't seen Warren's opinion on his son's choice yet.

Luke was drinking too much and Mandy lost custody of her daughter, Ella. Tony had tried to help, but Luke appeared ruining everything. She kidnapped her child and went to Hollyoaks asking for help from Cindy. Misbah ended up lying protecting Cindy. Milo not knowing that the missing kid was Mandy's turned her over to the police. Milo has way too information on the Cunninghams, which is worrisome.

Scott and Damon got closer, but Brody was jealous. Brody, who the group who went to Ibiza met, was Damon's best friend. Brody wanted Scott out of the picture, but Farah suggested that if Scott wasn't ready to tell Damon the truth to give his half-brother space. Brody tried to teach self-defense to Holly and Ellie, but freaked Holly out when he grabbed her. Brody also turned a ladies' night event at their pub into an event for lesbians, but it was a success so Damon wasn't upset about it.

Tegan helped Yasmine in a medical emergency and got her job back provisionally as Misbah finally gave her a break. It looks like James will be caught soon, and Ste may not be Amy's murderer. Zack and Leela were still together, but the Loveday and Lomax clans didn't have much to do in August. The only real action in the Donovan family was that Courtney's pregnancy was discovered, and now she is part of them due to Liam being the father of her kid. For now, they are not reaching out to Liam. Tracey was still causing issues as much of her family didn't want a relationship with her.

Sienna had the surgery, but continued to be unwell. The cancer was more advanced than expected, and Sienna is lying to Warren about her health. Kim has moved in to help, as Sienna doesn't want the babies lives to be ended before they begin.

Those are the highlights on Hollyoaks for August 2017. I'm glad that Mac is finally getting a clue, though I don't like the character, he needed to know Neeta was cheating. Also I wonder how they will handle Darren's crimes.
