Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) lost his beloved skyscraper, nicknamed Sky, after Liam (Scott Clifton) got his father to admit his decided to get Justin (Aaron D. Spears) to hire someone to make the Spectra building burn. Below are my thoughts about this situation on "The Bold and the Beautiful."
Instead of having no problem with Bill's behavior, Liam went low instead of high, and blackmailed his father. Bill had to give him the reigns of Spencer Publications, or Liam would play an audio, where Bill admitted to arson. Bill ended up signing Liam's resignation letter, but vowed revenge. He felt that Liam wasn't a loyal son, and punched him in the face. Wyatt was livid over not being named CEO, and didn't understand Liam getting the job. Wyatt has figured out part, but not all of Bill's actions (as of the writing of this blog entry after viewing the September 21, 2017 episode.)
Bill expected sympathy from Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), but she left him. She could handle a lot of things, but not her husband causing a fire, where people could have been seriously injured like Sally was or died, though everyone else was unhurt. Of course, Ridge felt that this may give him another chance with Brooke.
Of everyone, the Spectra clan benefited the most. Liam bought the building from CJ (and his mother Sally), for 50 million dollars. Then Liam went ahead and gifted it to Sally. Steffy was upset over what Liam did, and was siding more with her father-in-law. She didn't want her husband to be friends with her enemy, and didn't get why people continued to help Sally after how she knocked off Forester designs.
For right now, it looks like Bill lost everything, Liam has power, but may lose his wife in the process. Wyatt wants control, and will he succeed in getting it from Liam, if Bill isn't allowed back in the company. I like that B&B is doing some shuffling, as there is no way that the Spencer men would always agree in the business world.
