B&B: Quinn & Eric Wed

Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Eric (John McCook) wed late September on "The Bold and the Beautiful" and their marriage caused anything, but bliss for the Forrester clan. See below for my thoughts on these recent developments.

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) got the family to boycott Quinn an Eric's wedding at the mansion. Thorne (Winsor Harmon) and Felicia (Lesli Kay) both came to town, and were convinced not to go. Charlie (Dick Christie) and Pam (Alley Mills) did arrive, and left while Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) stayed. Quinn gave Eric an out, but he wanted to proceed this was on September 26. The preacher pronounced Quinn and Eric as married. He had a portrait made in the place of honor of his new bride, just like in the past there was one of Stephanie and later Maya, which Rick did and everyone objected to obviously. Of camera, they celebrated their marriage, but didn't make it to a honeymoon. They were both happy, but Eric needed to confront the family. He yelled at his kids while at work, and then fell unconscious. Eric is still hospitalized, and the doctors don't know why he hasn't woken up yet. Ridge and Steffy pushed the envelope wanting Quinn to leave Eric alone. Ridge found proof that the marriage wasn't legal, but he was in for a shock as Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) found paperwork proving that Eric gave Quinn his power-of-attorney. This gives Quinn every right to stay in the mansion, and make all legal decisions for Eric.

While this isn't the first time B&B has done the we had a wedding ceremony, but the papers haven't been signed, having Eric give Quinn power-of-attorney is a new wrinkle. The Forresters aren't going to get rid of Quinn that easily, which is a good thing. I don't want it to be easy. That being said, I understand why no one trusts Quinn, but they should support Eric. He is supportive of the family and since he was willing to do a prenuptial agreement so Quinn didn't get his shares. Hopefully Eric isn't unconscious for the next few months, as that would be a waste.
