Earlier this week, Variety published news about ABC daytime. To read more view their website. The executive Vice President of Daytime and Syndicated Programming Lisa Hackner is out, and a reorganization is going on at the network.
Since Fall 2013, Ms. Hackner had this position, and "The View" moved from daytime entertainment to news. The only shows she was in charge of at ABC were "General Hospital" and "The Chew". The syndicated arm is much larger, and there hasn't been anything that stuck under her purview.
We'll see what this means in the future and if it will do anything to GH. At least her show "FABLife" did an episode with "General Hospital" people so it wasn't a complete waste.
