Days: Christmas in Soapland 2018

"Days of Our Lives" celebrated Christmas over three days (December 24 and 25, 2018).

The December 24th episode was Christmas Eve. Julie wakes up, with Doug at her bedside. The Hortons decide to do Christmas Eve though they had cancelled it due to Julie's illness. Lani was given an ornament for her dead son, as he was part of the family. Earlier, Claire and Ciara give each other replacement ornaments. Before arriving at the Horton's Ciara got a gift of a guardian bell from Ben. In the Gabi/Abby/Chad/Stefan plot. Gabi threw out the papers stating that Chad is the father of Baby Charlotte. Abby gave Stefan divorce papers, and then went to the Hortons and told off her family that didn't believe her. Doug and Julie enter right after Abby left the party.

The December 25th episode seemed like things happened, but we didn't see it like the Brady Pub was being cleaned up from the party. Leo ruined Christmas for the kids telling them Santa wasn't real. Abby and Julie spoke, and Julie remembered that she saw paperwork that said Chad was the father. Sheila and Abe saw each other in the park, she bought him sneakers that he wore at the hospital Christmas party. Will and Kayla went to the hospital, as did Roman, who was Santa originally. Kayla as chief of staff read the Christmas story and also received flowers from her errant husband. Will and Sonny hooked up as Will was in the Santa costume later so Leo had no idea. Abby and Stefan spoke to Kayla, and she had proof that Chad was the baby's father. Stefan was devastated, and then Abby went to see Chad and Gabi telling them the truth. (There was a repeat of this on the December 26th episode, but it wasn't specifically holiday themed.)

There was family on these episodes, but not much humor. Things happened, and well I'm glad that finally the situation with Charlotte's paternity has been revealed. This was a story I felt was going on a bit too long.
