B&B: Sheila's Return (So Far)

The Bold and the Beautiful pulled a fast one earlier this month as Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is back in Los Angeles. Below are my thoughts so far through June 19, 2017.

I wanted to wait until we saw more than a two or three episodes to comment on the character's return. Sheila broke into Katie's (Heather Tom) home, and was suspected of shooting at Quinn (Rena Sofer). Everyone thought Katie did it initially as she pointed an unloaded gun at Quinn. Quinn was shot at again, so we knew it couldn't be Sheila. Deacon (Sean Kanan) was the actual shooter, and he was carted off to jail in less than five episodes. I found this to be disappointing, and a bit of a letdown as Quinn threw him over a cliff, and this follow-through wasn't all that major.

At this point, Eric (John McCook) is supposedly giving his former wife Sheila the benefit of the doubt. Thankfully it is more about keeping an enemy close. I appreciated that they showed some flashbacks. That said none of this explains Katie's wild behavior. Did Sheila do something to her? Also at this point, Sheila's more recent acts seemed to have been hand-waved away as they were called "rumors". Since these stories happened on "The Young and the Restless" and not B&B perhaps that will be all.

I'm hoping this is a good and enjoyable story for the foreseeable future. Hopefully they won't make her a murdering, kidnapping sociopath anytime soon. I want an actual story not just murder in the afternoon.
