Thoughts about "Neighbours" - October 2017

Below are my thoughts for the October 2017 episodes of "Neighbours". Don't continue if you haven't seen it.

Paul got a new fiance, while Terese couldn't marry Gary, as the truth came out at the altar. Paul surprised everyone with his new girlfriend Courtney. To settle the lawsuit, Paul and Courtney got a say and were paid with part of Lassister's Hotel. During the livable suburb contest, Courtney embarrassed herself, but Terese helped. That said the couch where Terese and Paul had sex was displayed for the entire town to see. There was an event for Diwali, where Ben and Kirsha provided music. Ben's amplifier was too strong and broke the lights. Dipi thought the family was cursed at that holiday, and hadn't wanted to celebrate it. Erinsborough won the most livable suburb contest. Everyone was thrilled, but Sonya had to decide who gets the money.

Speaking of Sonya, earlier in the month she and Toadie reconciled. He had been seeing a therapist that shared a past with her, but they worked it out. Sonya missed their reunion meeting after falling and getting a concussion. Sam left as Jack got a job at the school.

On the day of the power outage, Shane and Dipi were intimate alone  in the kitchen while Yashvi and Ben heard. Yashvi again behaved badly and Ben took the blame. On muck-up day, Yashvi stole a durian from the Kennedy's backyard, and put it in the air vent as a prank. Since Ben didn't care about university, as he was going into a trade, and the durian was taken from his family's property he wouldn't be in legal trouble. Piper got really sick also.

Hamish was desperate to leave Australia, and wanted Tyler to go with him to take care of the boat. He lied to change the will, he slept with Sheila, and poisoned his girlfriend nurse who has a peanut allergy. He also started screwing with Tyler and Piper's relationship. Piper at least did get a birthday party, and the Cannings came as it wasn't her fault that her mother was a cheat. Hamish also lied about donating money to the wellness center, and to get out of it, he paid for drugs to be delivered. Now Amy and Steph are struggling, and Amy got an influx from her friend who was running the lingerie cleaning service.

Mark and Elly were together, but she realized things were wrong. Elly ended it, as even though he was perfect their relationship was not. Mark and Paige reunited, and Mark continued to have issues with Tyler thanks to Hamish.

Those were the highlights of "Neighbours" for October 2017. Since we less than six weeks worth of episodes left in 2017, I really hope Piper isn't pregnant if only because other than Imogen every younger female character of late who is of age has had such a plot.
