Kristina continued in Port Charles after Parker left in 2016. Parker tried to get back with her wife, but failed, and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) did what she could to dissuade Kristina from every speaking to Parker again.
Everything changed when Parker got a position on the tenure track at PCU. Kristina was going for her MBA there, and the spent a night on a blanket in the park watching fireworks. Parker ended up being Molly's professor, and Kristina took advantage of it. Parker and Kristina decided to become involved again, and without telling anyone dropped out of the masters' program due to the conflict of interest. Their relationship was discovered (kissing inappropriately) and Parker was fired. Kristina blamed Alexis, but she said she didn't go behind her daughter's back. Kristina didn't believe her mother, and decided to move to Eugene, Oregon to be with Parker, who was moving back west. Alexis tried to get Sonny on her side, but he felt Kristina needed to make her own mistakes.
My feelings about this are as follows:
- Like the story last year, this ran less than six months. This makes it extremely difficult to invest unless one is specifically wanting to "ship" a same sex couple. (Also makes it easier to hate, but I digress.) I said what I was glad about the last time, was no pregnancy or death. The irony though is I also stated that we didn't get "the requisite extremely rushed ending of them deciding to be together and moving out of town." That's exactly what happened now just took about 15 months for GH to go there.
- A part of me feels like this was told because they had a canvas gap with Julian (William deVry) in prison, and the character of Alexis had nothing to do.
- The other issue is Lexi's Daytime Emmy. Considering that if GH hadn't given her anything, people would have complained. (You have an award winner on your canvas, who may be recurring, and she has no story, how hard can it be to write something..)
