Days: The Double Wedding

What were Chad, Abigail, Sonny, and Paul thinking, having a double wedding on "Days of Our Lives"? Did they think that by the end of the day, each would be wed? If so they were terribly wrong. Below are my thoughts about what happened, in early October 2017.

When everyone was at the altar, a surprise guest appeared: Ben Weston. He escaped from Bayview with the news that Will was alive. Ben was a multiple murderer, but he hadn't offed Will Horton. Abby and Chad had thought Ben's appearance was about them, as Ben tortured both, but thankfully it was about hurting Sonny and Paul.

Ben was brought to the police station, and will be sent back into custody. Of course, this wasn't before JJ flipped out, threatened Ben with a gun, and got suspended without pay. Hope now is the commissioner, and had to do this to her cousin.

Meanwhile Abigail and Chad decided to get married anyway. The guests all had left, and they didn't have an officiant, as Justin had left (to help Sonny), and due to the information about Will asking Marlena would be cruel. Father Louis arrived back at St. Luke's and was able to marry them. They had a small ceremony with the only witnesses being baby Thomas, Andre, and Jennifer. After the "I do", the couple kisses and bubbles were blown.

So at the end of the day, everyone dressed up to see a spectacle that wasn't a wedding. I'm glad there wasn't any bloodshed at the church. Also since Bonnie is posing as Adrienne, which no one realizes, Sonny's mother would have missed the ceremony if it had happened.
