Days: Nicole Leaves Town with Holly

On "Days of Our Lives", Nicole (Ari Zucker) left Salem on October 20, 2017. Below are my thoughts about the character's write off out of town.

Nicole was in love with Brady (Eric Martsolf), but realized she still loved Eric (Greg Vaughan). They were working together, and she forgave him for the drunk driving death of her former fiance. Eric couldn't handle being near her, and gave up his job at the Horton Center. Nicole couldn't take that, and confronted him. They made love, and Nicole told Brady it was over. Brady though would not accept what she did. If he couldn't be happy, neither would she or Eric. Brady told her either you go to prison for murdering Deimos and Holly would be raised by others, or you leave Salem and Eric.
Nicole chose her freedom lying to Eric as to why, she ended it.

The timing was never right for Nicole and Eric, and Brady continues to spiral downward. Due to how far in advance Days tapes, we've known since March that Ari Zucker was leaving. Having Nicole be the killer, was a good twist, as the character had a reason to go. Anyway, we'll see if Nicole ever returns to Salem, as the character has unfinished business. At least on her way out the door, we had one last interaction with Sami (Ali Sweeney) as that's the one relationship, which the character had nearly her entire run.
