Another month's worth of episodes of "The Doctors" has aired on
RetroTV. Below are my thoughts on what has aired for the month of March
1971.
Toni moved into Martha's house. So far they are getting along well. Mike seems to like her, and the feeling is mutual, but he is way too busy with being an intern to focus on a relationship. Mike admitted to Toni that he had to leave a surgery for a little girl as it was too emotional for him. Toni believed that perhaps he could be a pediatrician and doesn't have to be a surgeon.
Maggie was found after getting into a car accident. She was with a Wyoming man, played by Marc Alaimo, who played various baddies most namely Gul Dukat on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Maggie got away before he raped her and crashed in the attempt. Thankfully, she was okay after treatment. The Powers family got together and Greta now seems to love both her parents and Mike again due to Morrison's treatment. Mike and Matt have also made peace, as Mike was in the ER, when Maggie was brought in for help. Dr. Gellar (surprisingly gave her a visit) as the treatment is helping though he still is retired. Gellar believes that Althea is in love with John Morrison. Off screen, Penny thanked John for the stuffed animal. Due to Maggie being ill, Althea is helping Morrison with the outpatient files. Nick and Morrison still aren't getting along due to Althea.
Carolee knew she had to tell Dan the truth and end their marriage. Steve wanted to be there, as he worried about her and Dan's temper. He even got her mother Emma to agree. Dan started to suspect something happened at Sky Haven. He even traveled to NYC with their hospital ids. The former desk manager believed that Steve and Carolee under the fake last name of Andrews were newlyweds. Dan decided he needed to see Carolee alone. Dan also started having health issues with his heart this month, and kept it from everyone. Steve and Carolee were now back together, but no one knew about it. He plans to marry her, once he can. Dan was extremely jealous of Steve and wanted Carolee to not see Steve even by accident in the lounge. Carolee also upset Dan by inviting Toni to the house while he was away. Toni and Billy got along extremely well, which was sweet. The part of Billy has recast to make him a younger 11 years old.
Those
were
the highlights of March 1971. I'm glad that the Powers family are getting along better and Greta is more sane. It hurt to see the little girl so messed up, with her parents trying so hard to do right by her. I also like how Martha and Toni get along, as I enjoy seeing friends on screen.
