On Thursday, February 18, 2016, it was announced that there was another change at the top of "Days of Our Lives". The news was officially posted here by "Soap Opera Digest".
Dena Higley remains as head writer, but her co-head writer Josh Griffith will no longer be with the program. Ryan Quan, who is the first Asian to have such a job in daytime, will take his place. Mr. Quan won the PGP writers contest one year back in the 90s while in college, and worked on "Passions" before "Days of Our Lives". I don't know what to think, and considering how far in advance the program is it will be autumn before we see any changes. Hopefully this is not yet another "plan" to save the show.
