Days: Shocking Casting News

Early this morning (Tuesday, January 21, 2014), a clip from Ellen reveals a major cast change for Days of Our Lives. The official Ellen Show YouTube.com account has it posted and below are my thoughts.

Okay, so Alison Sweeney who started on Days as a teenager in 1993 is leaving the show. She's going to work all of this year, but plans to leave.  Obviously since it isn't happening anytime soon, there is no further information. One thing is for certain if none of her costars are leaving at the same time as her, none of her couple shipping fans will be happy as Sami won't leave Salem with someone on her arm. (Of course, they could always bring Austin or Brandon back, but I digress.)

I'm happy for Ali, but for a lot of fans this will be a huge change as they don't remember Days without her. Hopefully this write off will not suck, as  they have a long time to plan i though I hope it involves Sami's entire family.
