Days: Nick's Back after EJ and Abby hit the sack

EJ (James Scott) and Abby (Kate Mansi) fell into bed so to speak, as he wanted to keep her quiet about what supposedly happened to Nick (Blake Berris). Obviously this plot as a lot of detractors, but I wanted to write about what has happened so far in this Days of Our Lives story.

EJ and Sami (Alison Sweeney) have been engaged, and while there was a little turmoil, it wasn't all that serious. Now that he has cheated on Sami to keep Abby quiet, I can't see any of them come out unscathed. Returning during the christening of baby Adriana, Nick's appearance shocked many. The trio of Kate (Lauren Koslow), Gabi (Camilla Banus) and Sami don't really have anything to worry about then, or do they? Gabi fought off Nick when he tried to force her to have sex with him, so it isn't as if Nick was some innocent.

Honestly the whole thing is a big old mess, and I wonder what will happen next. I guess that's a good thing. When it comes to EJ and Abby, it is a very volatile situation considering how he couldn't keep her hands off of her in a hospital linen closet. The fact that Abby seems to be telling EJ that she will keep his secrets for a price, and it seems like it is sex is kind of freaky. Abby was written for such a long time as virtuous and unwilling to do it. Now if feels like her entire personality has been turned upside down, is EJ so awesome in bed, that it makes normally sane people do crazy things? A part of me wonders just that. Since Ali Sweeney is leaving Days later in the year, it will be interesting to see if this turn of events (whether it is about her part in Nick's "death" or EJ's affair with Abby) will be part of her departure from the show.
