GH: Robert Leaves Port Charles

This week on General Hospital, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) left Port Charles to see Holly. On his way out of town, he said goodbye to his family.

Since GH was surprised by Tristan's departure, Robert's write out was a bit low-key, though appropriate for the character. Tristan wasn't on contract, and "The Young and the Restless" offered him a contract to return as Colin Atkinson. A lot of people were upset about how this went down, but if someone is free and doesn't have guaranteed work, they are free to take another gig.

Anyway, Robert said goodbye first to Anna (Finola Hughes), her relationship with Duke (Ian Buchanan) hit the skids as he lied about getting back in bed with the mob. While Anna is the police chief and has every right to be upset, Duke legitimately was struggling with being duped by Julian Jerome (William deVry) again. If Tristan hadn't left, it nearly seemed like GH may have played a triangle with those three characters, but obviously that didn't come to pass. His brother Mac (John J. York) drove him to the airport once Robert went to his daughter Robin's (Kimberly McCullough) home. They had a sweet goodbye, and he also gave advice to his young granddaughter Emma.

Hopefully everything will work out with Tristan at Y&R. That being said I'll miss Robert Scorpio as it has been his signature role in daytime television.
