Earlier this week as part of TCA, a press release stated that CBS has renewed their daytime line-up for the 2014-2015 season. On top of that "The Young and the Restless" has a guaranteed spot through the 2017 season.
With all the bad and/or sad news, we've had with soaps in the last few years, it is nice to see a renewal notice for Y&R and "The Bold and the Beautiful". While many may never be fans of "The Price is Right", "The Talk" or "Let's Make a Deal" due to past loyalties to lost soap operas, seeing a consistent schedule is good for the network. Nothing about Days of Our Lives or General Hospital came out of their TCA events, though a lot of news was shared from many of the networks about their other programming. The changes at some cable networks in the next year look to be significant, but we'll see what happens with their new programs in development.
