OLTL: Thoughts on Episode 2

Here are my thoughts and a brief summary on episode two (April 30, 2013) of One Life to Live.

Dani OD'ed and her stomach was pumped. Thankfully this was off screen as I didn't want to see that. Victor goes to see her, while everyone else is in the waiting room (Matthew, Destiny, Jeffrey, Todd, Blair and Tea.)  As Todd is berating Tea, Victor comes in and pins Todd to the wall. They start brawling and Jeffrey takes out his camera phone. Tea and Victor have a few moments together. Sadly they don't mention their dead baby, though I hope they continue with more material later.

Cutter is trying to handle the situation at Shelter since the DJ left the club. He has Rama give out free shots to the people who are still there. Cutter eventually throws everyone out and he and Rama share a drink with a toast. Rama hopes that their first night would be the worst. She gets him on the dance floor.

Viki and Dorian are in the Llanfair library. They are talking about the news story, and Dorian says she did the right thing. As she leaves Dorian says something like I will bring you down and your little newspaper too. When did Dorian become a witch in the Wizard of Oz. Viki then gets a call as Clint walks down the stairs. Dorian gets home to David who is using a tablet. She uses the word "merde".

Clint and Viki arrive at the hospital, he questions Matthew. Prior to that Matthew did admit to Jeffrey and Destiny that he tried drugs, but didn't enjoy it. Clint though sided with his nephew believing he wasn't using. Viki found out about Victor being alive, though I hope we see more of a reaction to that later.  Victor came in the room again and Jack and Victor hugged. Jack wishes Victor a happy birthday as Dani remembered. Since Victor was more of a parent to Jack, than Todd this reaction is understandable.Viki talks to Jeffrey about the situation with Dorian and said if Dorian is telling the truth this is bigger than they all thought. David makes Dorian feel better, but then they see the press on the lawn.

Todd goes to the coffee shop, and Blair followed him. They talk about her business venture, and he is taking it out on her. Todd thought he killed Victor, but wasn't successful, which frustrates him. Considering Todd nearly went to prison, and his family hated him for what he did, it was almost funny in an ironic way. Todd and Blair come back and in and they all find out that Dani will be okay. Tea and Victor are hugging happily as are Viki and Clint.

This episode resolved the first, though I wonder if everyone will be allowed to change into new clothes. Also will they interact in the daytime. I was confused why Viki would care about the newspaper with Dani in the hospital and her brother being alive. I know this isn't the first time someone came back from the dead, but really the Dorian story is more important than Victor.
